We have a passion for illustration and welcome interest in all areas of this media, be it book or magazine illustration, storyboarding for film or TV, or simply mood board presentation.

Graphics

Graphic design can make or break your project or venture. The impact of logos, banners and advertisements is crucial to communicate well in any media. Branding and marketing strategy are crucial elements of any business.

The Dream Loft promises original and inspired branding, forged from creativity and good market research. Through our in-house graphics production we can improve on existing imagery or create a corporate identity from scratch. We can also produce finished graphics from your concepts and rough drawings.

Historical Map

This map (only shown in part here) was one of seven commissioned to illustrate a book, 'A Literary History of the Low Countries'(Camden House), 2009.

Client comment: 'The Dream Loft was extremely responsive, good to work with and got everything done as rapidly as I could have imagined. They did a good bit of research to figure out the different geographical divisions during the various historical periods, and really got after it... It was not an easy project but Ben wasn't fazed... This illustration was created using pen and inks for a book project.

This illustration is pen and inks on water colour paper. The original image was copy-photographed and, using old-school photography techniques, was printed by hand with selected areas burned in to darken them. This print was then scanned and combined with computer generated graphics in Photoshop.

This stortyboard was created to show how a promotional animation might appear in a children's TV animation programme. The project is based loosely upon a tongue-in-cheek 'Lord of the Rings' style fantasy.
